A thermal label printer is a compact and reliable device designed for printing self-adhesive labels, receipts, and barcodes. Unlike thermal transfer models, thermal printers do not require ribbons, as printing is done directly on the heat-sensitive surface of the label. This reduces the cost per label and automates product marking.
How Thermal Printers Work
The print head heats up and changes the color of the thermal layer, producing text, images, and barcodes with speed and accuracy. Only thermal labels or receipt paper are suitable. Finished labels are more sensitive to UV light and moisture, so proper storage is required.
