A handheld barcode scanner is the most common piece of checkout equipment: the cashier points it at the item and pulls the trigger. The MERTECH catalog has corded and cordless handheld models, all with a 2D imager, so they read linear barcodes, QR and DataMatrix, including codes on phone screens.
Typical tasks
- Checkouts in stores, cafés and pharmacies — sales and reading Asl Belgisi marking codes.
- Goods receiving and inventory — checking deliveries against the waybill.
- Order pickup points — reading the QR code on the customer's phone.
- Offices and services — tracking documents, passes and asset tags.
MERTECH handheld barcode scanners
| Model | Connection | Best for |
|---|---|---|
| MERTECH 610 | USB | Budget model for small shops |
| MERTECH 2210 | USB, optional RS-232 | Checkouts with marked goods |
| MERTECH 2310, 2310 HR | USB-HID, USB-COM | Pharmacies and stores with small DataMatrix codes |
| MERTECH 2420 | USB, RS-232 emulation | Checkouts and goods receiving |
One checkout with moderate traffic? A corded handheld model is enough. For busy checkouts, fixed-mount scanners are more convenient.
How to choose a handheld scanner
- Codes — marked goods need 2D, and every model in this section is 2D.
- POS interface — USB-HID suits most software; COM mode is required by some POS and accounting systems.
- Cable length — 3 m cable versions are available for larger workstations.
- Stand — lets you use a handheld model in presentation (hands-free) mode.
Price and availability
Prices are shown in UZS on each product page. 3-year warranty, free delivery in Tashkent from 1,000,000 UZS, shipping across Uzbekistan. Contact a manager to choose a model or request an invoice.
FAQ
Can a handheld scanner read a code from a phone screen?
Yes, all models in this section have a 2D imager and anti-glare technology.
Corded or cordless?
A corded scanner never needs charging and costs less. A cordless one is better when you need to move away from the counter.
