A 2D barcode scanner reads both linear and two-dimensional codes: EAN-13, Code 128, QR, DataMatrix and PDF417. It uses an imager: a camera captures the code and a processor decodes it. That is why 2D models read codes on phone screens, on glossy or crumpled packaging and on tiny labels of medicines.
Where you need a 2D barcode scanner
- Stores and pharmacies — goods marked under Asl Belgisi carry a DataMatrix code that a laser scanner cannot read.
- QR payments — customers show a Click, Payme or Uzum QR code on their phone.
- Pickup points — order QR codes from Uzum Market, Wildberries or Ozon.
- Warehouses — receiving, picking and stocktaking.
2D scanners in our catalog
| Type | Models | Connection |
|---|---|---|
| Corded handheld | MERTECH 610, 2210, 2310, 2420 | USB (HID / COM) |
| Wireless | CL-610, CL-2210, CL-2310, CL-2410, CL-2420, CL-5300 | Bluetooth, USB dongle |

| Embedded | SF50, N300, T5930, T7821, T8900 | USB, RS-232 |

Tip: a corded handheld model is enough for a checkout with marked goods; for warehouses and pickup points choose a wireless model with a charging cradle.
What to look at
- Resolution — HR models reliably read small DataMatrix codes on medicines.
- Housing protection — IP54 for the sales floor, IP65 for warehouses.
- Interface — USB-HID works as a keyboard without drivers; COM mode is needed by some POS programs and 1C.

FAQ
Why choose a 2D scanner over a 1D scanner?
1D models read only linear barcodes. A 2D scanner also reads QR and DataMatrix codes, including codes on screens.
Is a 2D scanner suitable for Asl Belgisi?
Yes. Product marking in Uzbekistan uses DataMatrix, and every model in this section reads it.
