A mobile data terminal (also called a mobile computer or data collection terminal) is a handheld device with a built-in barcode scanner, screen and battery. Staff scan goods right on the shelf or pallet, see stock and tasks, and the data goes straight to your inventory system via Wi-Fi or 4G. MERTECH mobile data terminals run Android and suit warehouses, stores, pharmacies, logistics and order pickup points.
What a data collection terminal is used for

How to choose
- Workload. A compact terminal is enough for periodic store stocktaking; a warehouse with constant receiving needs a pistol grip and a large battery.
- Scan engine. All models have a 2D engine for linear codes, QR and DataMatrix.
- Connectivity. Wi-Fi for warehouses, 4G for field sales and couriers.
- Software. MERTECH terminals work with 1C and other systems via Android mobile clients.
